Mass spectrometry has become an essential tool in the analytical laboratory. However, a single mass spectrometer may or may not generate the degree or level of data required for a specific analysis or laboratory requirements. This presentation focuses on the differences between mass filtering techniques (single quadrupole, MSMS, QTOF) relative to their selectivity, sensitivity, and identification capabilities, on analytes in an unknown sample.
